Acts 1

Read Chapter 1
These men had a choice whether go back to what they knew or to allow all that Christ had poured into their lives to now become reality.

In choosing the latter they did not go about making up plans, even though they questioned Jesus on when he would free Israel from the roman rulers (still trying to figure this out), they went to Jerusalem and waited (prayed, aligned themselves with scripture, brought what was out of place and readied themselves for what was to come; & replacing Judas).

Let's be very careful this next month to read God's word with an openness to what He has planned out for us.  It is so easy to get ahead of God and become like the disciples not fully grasping what Christ was all about, they were focused on the earthly, the temporal but Jesus was always focused on the eternal.

I am truly excited, nervous, scared and anticipating all at the same time what God could do through a group of people who fully devote themselves to becoming what God is; love, power, hope, freedom....

Let's do this, lets hold one another accountable just as we see Peter doing, as Christ ascended into heaven, keeping focus on the joys of what's ahead of us.
